Acupuncture Needles

Acupuncture needles are thin, sterile, and disposable tools used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to stimulate specific points on the body, known as acupuncture points or meridians. They are designed to gently penetrate the skin with minimal discomfort, promoting the body’s natural healing processes and restoring balance to the flow of Qi (energy).

Key Features:

  • Material: Typically made of high-quality stainless steel, ensuring strength, flexibility, and resistance to corrosion.

  • Gauge and Length: Come in a range of gauges (diameters)—most commonly from 0.12 mm to 0.30 mm—and lengths from 13 mm to 75 mm, depending on the area being treated.

  • Tip: Ultra-fine, filiform (solid) tips designed to glide smoothly into the skin without cutting tissue, minimizing discomfort.

  • Handle: Usually has a looped, coiled, or plastic handle for easy manipulation; some are copper or silver-coated for enhanced conductivity in electroacupuncture.

  • Sterilization: Pre-sterilized and individually packaged to ensure hygiene and patient safety.

  • Usage: Single-use only to prevent infection or cross-contamination.
